Joe, did this beta ever get released? And if so how can I help you test
it? I'm dying to get my hands on a working aac/mp4 solution since iTunes
dropped the ball big time!!!

I expect a release either Thursday evening late, or sometime over
the weekend, depending on where I am with the bugs. I will also
release
it as a beta installer, so no more of this overwrite-the-exe stuff.

Itunes dropped the ball on what? MP4/AAC works fantastically with
itunes

No support for other encoders ... Mainly Nero and Foobar2000 ... and
since iTunes doesn't support the whole mpeg4-audio standard you cannot
have gapless encoded tracks. I know iTunes and iPod don't support
gapless playback, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't at least read the
files! Also some mp4 (non gapless) files play correctly but the tags do
not show up.
